Musical Clock and Street Organ Museum
These musical clocks and street organ museum that we visited was unique and impressive clock and organ collection that I ever see. There were many clocks and organs that were displayed from hundred years ago. Those old musical clock looks more unique than the modern clock that we used at this time, but the main purpose in those entire clocks is to give the time. A Musical clock is a clock that marks the hours of the day with a musical tune played from a spiked cylinder, either on bells, organ pipes, bellows, combs and even dulcimer strings.
And talking about the street organs that I saw there, I was really amazed to see a unique and big organ with beautiful and colorful design on it. And when the tour guide tested the organ, wow! It’s very loud music. A street organ is a mechanical organ designed to play in the street. The operator of a street organ is called an organ grinder. The two main type are the smaller German style and the larger Dutch street organ. Dutch street organs (unlike the simple street organ) are large organs that play book music. Before I visit in this museum, I saw this street organ already in some city of Netherlands; they played mostly in a crowded place.
