Bantayan Island
Cebu is one of the biggest cities in the Philippines and one of the main destinations for tourist people. This city is not just big, but it’s also abundant of nice tourist spots. One tourist spots that kuya J (bro. in law), hubby and I visited before was the Bantayan Island. Bantayan Island is an island in the Philippines, located at the western portion of the northern tip of Cebu Island. It is politically a part of the Province of Cebu. The island can be reached by ferry from Hagnaya Wharf in San Remigio, Cebu, or from Cebu City, or from Cadiz City in Negros Occidental. It is about 80 miles away from Cebu City. The town is composed of three municipalities such as Bantayan, Madridejos and Santa Fe. This island is considered as Cebu’s fishing ground where shiploads and boatloads of fish are transported daily to Cebu City and Negros. Tons of guinamos (salted fish) and buwad (dried fish) are delivered to Cebu City and Cadiz, Negros for further distribution to as far as Mindanao and Manila. Equally important is the thriving poultry industry with hundreds of thousands of chicken eggs produced daily.
We went there a few years ago and I love the place because of its scenic view, white sand beach and very quiet. In fact, there were some resorts to stay there with some restaurant to hang out. Our whole day visit there was enough because we did only a quick tour, it could be nice if we stay there for one night, but it was not in our plan that time. Maybe if time comes that we visit there again, we make sure that we can stay there for few days, then, I can enjoy much the place and can watch the sunset, could be nice to see it there for sure. If ever you plan to relax and just enjoy the pleasant view of the beach, then this could be a perfect place for you to stay with.

It is my goal to stay at each beach resort on Bantayan Island at least twice and give you the inside information on each one. I would like to go every month but I probably wont be able to do that unless you want to take me! Well, I can dream. Last month I stayed at a resort with a modern, active feel.
