Travel Notes

The last time that I join the family vacation here in NL was two years ago. So now I start missing it and hoping that this year there’s a family vacation that will be happened. So far, I didn’t hear anything yet about the vacation plan, probably because it’s still wintertime. Mostly they spend vacation in the spring or summertime. I just missed visiting the south part of NL where I can see many nice tourist spots. And of course, the place and the environment in the province is different than here in the city. Last time we spent a vacation, it’s a bit crowded on the road, I guess it’s really a vacation time for most people.

This year, hubby and I have no plan to visit Philippines.  Well, I guess it’s time to explore the other part of Europe aside keep going back and forth to the Philippines. So I’m very vocal to say to my husband that we will try to spend some vacation in the other part of Europe. I know he wants to visit Philippines more but this year it’s not possible because of my status here in NL.
Anyway, a few days ago, hubby suddenly asked me which country in Europe I love to visit someday. Phewww…a smile on my face and without any hesitation I enumerate some countries of Europe that I like to visit in the future. Of course Paris is part of it, then Italy and Spain. Aside from that, I also wish to visit London, I heard so many nice things to see there, so I hope someday I can be there to see those beautiful spots in real.

This is my third times that I celebrate Christmas here in NL. Well, I never experience white Christmas this time unlike last year, pheww that’s really a wonderful Christmas experience for me. It felt so nice that while celebrating the Christmas season, then outside you can see the snow that fell down. I know for some people they find it stupid that I wish to have a snow this year but haaa I can’t help it, I just find them so nice to see. And we don’t have those in the Philippines, so it’s so nice to experience it once in a while *wink*.

Anyway, here in NL, they have Eerste Kersdag (first Christmas) and Seconde kersdag (second Christmas) and that will be on the 25th and 26th of December. Well, I don’t get it why they have two Christmas celebration, as we all know, Jesus Christ was born once only and that was on the 25th of December. But anyway, we had two days of yummy foods on the table haaa. On the Eerste kersdag, we had a cozy family dinner including my mother-in-law sister and her mother. We ate some yummy foods that start from the appetizer, to soup, to normal menu and of course the dessert. While on the seconde Kersdag we did the gourmet dinner.

I was excited already when hubby told me that maybe we visit Limburg, the south part of Holland or Germany to watch their Christmas market display. In the time that he told me, I feel already excited, though he did not confirm that it’s final because it’s just maybe but I’m expecting that we go there. I know hubby doesn’t like to travel for a long distance drive especially if he does it all by himself. So he asked his parents if they want to join with us, then dad can drive back. But sad to say that they refused it, so the plan was cancelled because hubby don’t drive 6 hours in total, phuuu.. Wish I can drive here, then for sure I reach farther than 6 hours haaaa. Well, having my own driving license here is part of my future plan, LOL.
